Dubai is set to surpass its current tallest residential tower, the 393-metre Princess Tower, with the upcoming Burj Binghatti project. Developed by Binghatti and luxury jewellery company Jacob & Co, the final height of the Business Bay skyscraper has yet to be announced. However, plans for the residential tower were revealed at a launch event held at the Coca-Cola Arena on November 16, 2022.
The Burj Binghatti will have over 100 storeys and will offer 2- and 3-bedroom residences, with prices starting at AED8 million and AED10 million, respectively. In addition to the exclusive penthouses, residents will also have access to a private member’s club, an infinity pool overlooking the Dubai skyline, and an in-house concierge service that provides private chefs, bodyguards, chauffeurs, and chefs.
Binghatti’s CEO, Muhammed Binghatti, stated that the tower was inspired by the intricate movements found in Jacob & Co’s timepieces, with diamond-shaped spires at the tower’s peak resembling a crown, reflecting the company’s finely cut gems. He further added that the Burj Binghatti will be the pinnacle of luxury living, adding grandeur to the city’s already impressive skyline.
Dubai’s skyline is set to be further enhanced by the stunning Wasl Tower, a twisted, 302-meter tall tower that’s due to open by Q2 2024. Designed with an asymmetrical, ceramic façade, the tower creates the illusion of dynamic motion that’s sure to capture the imagination of anyone who sees it.
Recent progress reports indicate that the tower’s structural works are now complete up to the 56th floor, and the façade has reached level 13, according to Wasl asset management group. Upon completion, the Wasl Tower will boast 64 floors, 229 luxurious residential units, 258 hotel rooms, 185,345 square feet of office space, and 11 parking floors.
But what makes the Wasl Tower truly unique is its design around the Z axis, which features a classic ‘contrapposto’ movement. This creates the illusion that the tower is facing every direction, making it a true work of art in the heart of Dubai.
